Intel BX80576T9600
In 2008, I added this CPU to my custom built HP laptop as a $625 option. Im glad I put that money in at first because now, 2+ years later, the thing still flies! I added an intel 80gb ssd into my unit and, coupled with this processor and 4gb ram, my laptop boots in 24 seconds now and shuts down in about 7. Barring any hardware failures, I can see this laptop lasting me for years to come. My advice to others who are currently building machines - go with a high end processor and SSD drive - it'll change your life! :DSee all 3 customer reviews...
